Content & Community Policy

Varde Index is a professional trust network. This policy explains what belongs on the Service and how content is moderated. It supplements our Terms of Service.

Our standard

Write from genuine, first-hand experience. Be specific, factual, and professional. Reviews and ratings are your honest opinion — say what happened, not what you assume about someone’s character.

Not permitted

• Defamatory, libellous, or knowingly false statements;
• Unsupported accusations of criminal conduct (for example calling a company a “scam” or “fraud”) without a good-faith factual basis;
• Personal attacks, harassment, threats, hate speech, or profanity;
• Confidential information, trade secrets, or personal data of others;
• Conflicts of interest — reviewing your own employer, its products, or its events;
• Spam, advertising, self-promotion, vote manipulation, or duplicate content;
• Anything unlawful or infringing third-party rights.

Careful language on risk

The Commercial Trust Index exists to capture commercial concerns in a structured, non-defamatory way. Rather than accusatory labels, use the provided categories — Reported Payment Concerns, Verified Dispute Signals, Communication Concerns, and similar. High-risk indicators require administrator review before publication. The Index is informational only and is not a credit rating, background check, or legal determination.

Moderation

All Contributions pass automated screening before publication and may be reviewed by our moderators. We may hold, label, edit for policy compliance, or remove content, and may suspend accounts that violate this policy. Automated screening errs toward caution; flagged content is held for human review rather than published.

Rights of reply & correction

Organizations may claim their profile and post one official response per review. Anyone may report content they believe is inaccurate or violates this policy, and may request correction of factual errors. Companies may correct factual information but may not delete, edit, or suppress genuine reviews or alter ratings.

Notice & takedown

If you believe content is defamatory, infringes your rights, or otherwise violates this policy or the law, contact contact@vardeindex.com with the specific content, the reason, and any supporting information. We review reports promptly and act where appropriate. Submitting knowingly false reports is itself a violation.
